who has the better/higher education generally? does anyone know?
We do; they’re morons.
This answer applies to both sides, btw.
Used to be Republicans, but now they embrace trailer trash and rail against the elite.
Democrats might have the degrees, but that’s a function of who controls admissions to advanced degree programs.
You can sit in class forever and achieve all sorts of degrees and still be stupid. Some of the most successful people in the world never finished college if they even went at all.
Studies have shown that those with post graduate education tend to be democrats.
Recently right wingers have done a study claiming that republicans have a higher education. However, what they considered to be a higher education was simply a high school diploma.
It depends on how you define education.
blacks democrats have the lowest is all i know.that is factual
Intelligence and common sense , Republicans.
College level liberal indoctrination , Democrats.
Here are the results of an old exit poll (2004):

And of Gallup Polling in 2008:

I wonder if we can find such a poll for 2010?
Depends on who you ask. Education is relevant. I have a very well educated, college professor uncle who is just about the dumbest human on the face of the earth. I also know some folks with GEDs who are pretty darn sharp.
Thinking educational levels are equal. Sure there is some think tank out there that will supply data
Who really knows? The one thing I can say is the words Politician and Common Sense don’t match up.
Typically, Democrats have higher education levels completed, as in have college degree/degrees of some sort. Doesn’t make anyone “smarter”, for I know many that have college degrees and have the walking around sense of a rock.
What is important is doing the educating of yourself on the issues important to you, what the offered candidates feel and support, and then choosing the one that best represents you and your view. Unfortunately now days, too many look at the letter in the () before or after the name instead of really understanding the issues and the views.
I would go with others in stating that Independents tend to be the most savvy when it comes to voting – they look at issues, not party.
A truly useless question. It is meaningless what ever the answer is. The reason is that education has many facets and areas of expertise. To be wise is more important.
Dems have liberal arts educations; Conservatives get educated in business and other useful vocations.
A higher portion of Republicans are college graduates, but a higher portion of Democrats have advanced degrees like PhDs. Make sense?
for the last couple three generations it’s been the dems. before that it was republicans, but when the dixiecrats all crossed over to the republican party democrat education levels soared. now those same dixiecrat types have splintered off to the tea party. this is a great opportunity for the republicans, but they have already stumbled, embracing the teaparty rather than distancing themselves from it.
A higher percentage of Democrats have advanced college degrees, but they also are far more likely to be high school dropouts. Republicans are slightly less likely to have college degrees, but a big part of that is those who go on to trades like manufacturing, construction, agriculture, etc tend to be Republican and those fields usually don’t require more than a high school education.
Overall, Democrats and Republicans are pretty even.
Such generalities are meaningless and contribute only to class strife. You have a good day now
