As long as you’re in school, you don’t have to pay back the loans. But you might want to find out if interest still accrues. You’d need to ask the lending agency that.

While you are still enrolled in classes, you do not have to make payments on your loans (called an “in-school deferment” –most loans will go into repayment 6 months after you graduate from your program, so as long as you enroll in a master’s program before the 6 months are up, then you should be fine –you would go back to being in in-school deferment.
