I’m applying for jobs for a CAD drafter, most of these jobs require work experience which I have and maybe a 2 year degree. I have a 4 year degree in a unrelated field but will the 4 year degree give me an advantage or typically will hr people oversee that about my resume.

Is it ok to finish four years at my state college so I can live at home and save money, then get my PhD at an Ivy League college after that? Would that work?
