Both are great places, if it was me i would choose somewhere in Scotland,
but i think the best way for you to choose is which ever college/university best suits your needs…and in either place you will be fine, there are plenty of students from different countries at every uni in the UK.

good luck with everything.

Hey yeah don’t worry about Scotland it has a high international student rate and there are just as many black people here as in England. The cost of living is cheaper in Scotland, don’t worry you won’t feel unwanted.

scotland, there isnt a huge black population in rural areas but in te central belt (where most of the unis and collages are) there is a bigish population. in london there is lots of violence between different cultures but in scotland there isnt really much violence between different cultures.

You are on a UK site, neither London nor Scotland are “abroad”.

“Are there many Black people in Scotland?”

Yes, though not as many as America (in terms of the percent of population). You are more likely to find more Black people in the densely populated areas like the South rather than the Highlands. This means in cities like Glasgow etc. However, St.Andrews University does have a high intake of Americans. It’s not the skin people are going to judge you on, it’s your personality. The situation is the same throughout the whole of the UK.

Some of the best universities in Scotland Include:

University of Edinburgh:
http://www.ed.ac.uk/

University of Glasgow:
http://www.gla.ac.uk/

University of St.Andrews:
http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/

Remember that there are other universities in Scotland to choose from. I recommend (if possible) you could arrange a trip to Scotland and tour the universities which you think you might want to attend. This gives you the opportunity to see what the people are like.

Hope this helps, good luck. :-)
