NO! I do pre-employment background checks, and believe me, we do research and verify if you actually have the degree or not, do not lie about anything on your application, for we do thourough research and investigation, you can get automatically disqualified if we find out and also you will gain a bad reputation.

I had the exact same problem. I applied for 10 different jobs ranging from cashier to server and no one called back. I don’t know if lying is the best idea though because when they find out, it could get you into trouble/you might lose the job. Best wishes!

It would seem to me that the employers who don’t want a college degree are hiring for a dead end job &/or want to pay less.

You should be honest, because lying could be cause for dismissal. That would be bad whenever you go for another job that might require the degree, because getting fired is never good.

It sounds kind of silly, because it sounds to me that you are withholding “good” info instead of padding your resume. But it’s still lying.

They’re probably not as interested in you with a Bachelor’s degree because they don’t think you’ll stick around, that you’re just looking for a job to pay some bills, then you’ll move on to “bigger and better” things.

Why aren’t you applying to jobs that will appreciate your degree? You are overqualified for entry level service jobs. Start looking for something in your field of study, or for anything that states they prefer a degree. You might find something you LOVE.
