It really depends on the college you are taking online courses from.
If the class is part of UCLA Extension (online), then ‘YES.’

There are many colleges and universities that have online classes, and you get just as much credit for taking those as you do sitting in a regular classroom. I would take the classes from a college you have heard of before, and check their accreditation. If the school is not accredited, than your credits will probably not transfer to another school, if you decide to switch. Be very careful of, totally online schools that advertise on the Internet. I would call the school personally and check with an advisor before beginning any classes.
