They are differnt tests. Each test examines something different. If you have questions make an appointment to meet with both the slp and psy at the same time to discuss.

The wechsler intelligence test gives general intellectual functioning scores. A score of 80 on that test means that your son is in the low-average area of intelligence (100 is absolute average, with 85-114 being the average range). The Goldman Fristoe tests speech ability (articulation, receptive and expressive language). A score of 117 in an area means that he is performing above his ability in that area. I assume if he is in speech, that he is having some difficulty in one area of speech and/or language?
