The distance between P1(x1, y1) and P2(x2, y2)
Is the length of the vector joining P1 and P2
is P2 – P1 = P(length)
=(x1, y1) -(x2, y2)
=(x2-x1, y2-y1)
the length of this P(length) vector is the dot product of
the vector with itself

= ?[P(length)?P(length)] =?|| p(length)||²
If we evaluate this, we discover this is exactly the same as
the distance formula used for ordinary xy plane mathematics
