It really depends on what you want to teach. It’s a good place to start. If you have teaching experience, that will help, too.

Generally community colleges require you to have a masters in the field. To teach math they will want a masters degree in math. Being certified to teach high school would matter. To teach psychology a masters in psychology or a PhD is common in community college. You might find a for-profit college that will allow less. You also might find a community college that is just desperate but usually you will need a BS in math. They are unlikely to be desperate in psychology.
